M-M-R II
Description
M-M-R II (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Virus Vaccine Live) is a live virus vaccine for vaccination against measles (rubeola), mumps, and rubella (German measles).
M-M-R II is a sterile lyophilized preparation of attenuated line of measles virus strain propagated in chick embryo cell culture; mumps virus strain propagated in chick embryo cell culture; and rubella virus strain propagated in human diploid lung fibroblasts.
Immunization guideline:
Individuals first vaccinated at 12 months of age or older should be re-vaccinated prior to elementary school entry. 0.5 ml dose of vaccine should be administered by deep subcutaneous injection into the anterolateral aspect of upper thigh in toddlers and upper arm in older children.
